Sarah talks about growing up in the midst of the family business that was run out of her childhood home. Through the ups and downs of business, Sara recalls wanting to be a trusted advisor when she grew up much like the advisors her parents relied upon.
Sara discusses the multitude of emotions that come with being a female entrepreneur. Sara says that fear is a huge factor when starting a business or becoming an entrepreneur but you must push past the fear and believe that when you jump, a net will appear.
Sara tells us about her concept of building a competitive advantage by getting out of the “office” and getting to know all of the like-minded service providers in the market. In doing so, Sara says that she has had lunch, dinner, drinks, or coffee with over 4000 people.
Sarah talks about how during the downtime presented by COVID, she and her team have turned to look inward at the company in an effort to improve on everyday business processes.
Sara shares with us her thoughts on entrepreneurship and life lessons. Sara says that to her, entrepreneurially thinking means to think independently, creatively, and strategically and then to have the courage and vulnerability to put that out into the world.
